Family Constellations workshop for men and women : TAKING WHAT YOU GOT

Life and love flow when children value the life they have been given. You can only receive life through your parents. “Being in harmony with your parents means taking what you have received and letting go what you haven’t” (Bert Hellinger, founder of Family Constellations)

Bring a story of your mother or father about something that you “got” –
We will constellate this strength or quality in you to allow love and life to flow in your life.

For example:
My mother was born premature and sickly in a little village called Matatiele. She was too sick to go to school. One evening, her parents visited friends down the road. She held her father’s hand as they walked there in the dusk light. After the meal, her parents woke her up, as she had fallen asleep. But she was too tired to walk. So her father carried her. In her sleepy state she looked up and saw a skyful of stars sparkling in the dark night. She was so excited as she had never seen the stars at night before. And a sense of wonder ignited in her. I always remember this quality in my mother. She brought wonder into so much of my life – from beating up soap at Christmas time to emulate snow. (never mind that we lived on the Soath Coast of Natal, and the December temperature was around 40 degrees!).

Women supporting Women Family Constellation : FATHERS AND DAUGHTERS

I invite you to share the space “Women supporting women” by exploring relationships with fathers. This is a Family Constellations workshop.
Our theme is FATHERS AND DAUGHTERS:
A girl enters life within her mother’s sphere of influence, but is fascinated by her father, and if all goes well, she practices the art of attracting men in the steady safety of his love.
If however, she stays in her father’s sphere of influence, she becomes a “daddy’s girl.” She may have difficulty relating as an equal partner, being in a committed relationship, or becoming a generous, giving mother to her children.
To become a woman, the girl needs to leave the first man in her life, her father, and to stand by her mother. Each woman in the circle will experience the feeling of standing in the WOMENS SPHERE OF INFLUENCE.
Life and love flow when children value the life they have been given. You can only receive life through your parents. “Being in harmony with your parents means taking what you have received and letting go what you haven’t” (Bert Hellinger, founder of Family Constellations)
We will deepen our understanding of the journey of being a woman.

Belonging – the focus of this workshop will be on supporting the feeling sensation or inner knowing of belonging in a family system, taking what strengthens, and acknowledging what doesn’t. This seems especially important in these days, where family and community seems to have broken down.

In France I saw how beautifully family works- when they go out to eat, the whole family goes, from youngest to oldest. Nobody is excluded.
Bonding and belonging

We are bound to our family systems by a deep need to belong. The bond to our parents begins even before birth – a child will do anything for the love of a parent.
These connections are a source of strength when the energy within the system is clear. However, when there is an interruption in the flow of energy, described by Bert Hellinger as an entanglement, the system and each individual in the system, is potentially weakened. No member of that family will be able to fully access the strength that should flow through the generations.

Every family has a “family soul” or a strong inner bond, regardless of what it looks like from the outside, or if the family members are aware of this or not…. Everything that is suppressed by the family does not disintegrate or disappear, but remains in the energetic field of the family system, and the newer members of the family, the children, feel this energy, and live it out. A child gets “entangled” with their ancestors, living out another’s misfortunes and trauma.
